I want us to be so close that our minds overlap flowing in tandem like the rescued greyhounds in the park A life of freedom, of movement, of expression, of spontaneous joy
Let no one own the space between us, no underground bunker mentality, stocked soups tins or carboys of petrol I refuse to be buried alive by capitalism
Why should it be so hard to live a life of integrity? Without exhaustion, without marketing, without ego A life of singing and slurping noodles with friends, reading poetry out loud
All the stubborn hurts and unresolved family crimes, named and sorted Brought to the surface and the profound loss and grief shared so the chains of violence linking generations snap open
Hearts and minds released from fear, a dam undone so the salmon can return home, water and will in motion Grace and death and tenderness dancing together
I want kindness and truth and beauty to be the norm Plants and animals and children encouraged to flourish so that their very being glows, steering us towards a generous future
I am grateful for this wondrous world we stumbled into I wish we were closer in its green and black tumultuous ocean and even if our paths never cross again, know that I love you always
